Marketing and Communications Manager
The Société Internationale d’Urologie (SIU) is an international scientific association founded in 1907 and established in downtown Montreal since 2003. Its 3,000+ members are based in over 100 countries, and the Society’s major objective is to deliver timely and relevant scientific content to all its constituents, via several media including but not limited to: annual Congress, virtual Congress, regional focus meetings, e-learning portal, and accredited training centres.
The position entails working with the Executive Director, Congress Director, Industry Liaison, SIU Academy Project Manager, Medical Content Manager, Hybrid Congress liaison, graphic designer, web designer, and IT consultant.

Candidate Profile
BComm or BA in relevant field, with minimum five years’ work experience
Able to formulate marketing strategies, develop tools and measure results
Mature and autonomous individual able to lead initiatives
Strong and effective communications skills, conveyed in flawless English
Internet-savvy, with solid and strategic social media experience
Thrives on change and creates new opportunities
Experience in a global context is desirable
Description of Position
a. Marketing
Design and implement branding and marketing strategies for the following areas of the SIU’s activity:
SIU Congresses (annual)
SIU @ U (platform for virtual Congress)
SIU Focus Meetings (annual, moving to biannual or more)
SIU Foundation (philanthropic arm of SIU)
SIU Academy (urology portal providing online education)
SIU Membership (member services, recruitment and retention)
SIU speaker programmes at national association meetings
Design, implement and manage communication plans for the above
Research strategic partnerships with global stakeholders (i.e., Movember)
Advertising procurement in relevant media (medical journals, newsletters, etc.)
Research and maintain bank of ancillary urology (or other) meetings for promotional activities
Concepts and storyboards for video campaigns
Design and implement engagement strategies for delegates, members and users
Design, deploy and analyze results of data collection instruments
